This book is great for a little older or more enthused or experienced artist. I bought it for my seven year old for Christmas but am going to save it until his 8th birthday, hoping it might be easier for him.

4neat techniques, not for very young kidsMar 01, 2014

I enjoy learning how to draw these figures, but it is for kids with good motor control, maybe 3rd grade or older. We'll keep practicing!!!

4Great for an older child!Apr 10, 2015

This is a good book, filled with lots of detail. However, even though Amazon recommends this for ages 6+, the drawing are far too complicated for children that young. It is far more appropriate for ages 8-9+.

4Easy to Follow - great resultsDec 16, 2014

Kids 6 to 13 are all using this book at home. The color coding of next steps makes it easy to follow, even for young artists. I'll be looking for more instruction books like this as holiday and birthday gifts too.

Keeps my 6 year old entertained. Step by step instructions on how to draw characters. He sits at his desk and draws for up to an hour at a time.
