My daughter loves it, but it could be a tad sturdierSep 10, 2012
By DeeB This was a gift for my 5 yeard old daughter who is clearly going through a mermaid fascination phase. She saw this doll and had to have it. Loved it so much she wanted her own mermaid tail to take to the beach, thankfully she's not the only little girl with this wish so the swim suit accessory was pretty easy to find and she loves that too. She spent plenty of time in the pool with her fins and Dora trying to mimick the tail movements, too cute! It could be a little more sturdy though because she wound her up a little too tight a couple times and daddy had to "fix" dora, but she's still swimming :)

Fun in the bath!Jul 14, 2012
By Tammy My 5 year old really wanted this doll, so we bought it online. We followed the instructions and it worked great! She really enjoys it. :) Only downside is that it doesn't "swim" long before having to wind it up again. While this is very normal for this kind of toy, my daughter kind of expected it to swim a lot because of how "cool" it looked on the commercials. It was a good opportunity to explain how commercials can mislead viewers and what is more realistic with this type of product. :)

Fun!Sep 07, 2012
By J. Baker My daughter wanted this toy very much. Once we got it I was so happy to see that it actually worked as advertised. Just wind her up by the arms and she does dive and swim as promised. She does take on alot of water and can take a while to dry but well worth the money. Its nice to have a non-battery operated toy that works and is durable. Good job Fisher-Price as usual!

Works better than I expectedSep 04, 2012
By gryffindormommy I was hesitant to get this doll because I was worried the swimming motion might be scary for my 2 year old. It winds very easily and the swimming motion is gentle but surprisingly effective, yet doesn't get in the way of her playing with the toy for imaginative play. She gets SO excited when it swims - "Look, she's swimming to me, mommy! Look at her go!!" Awesome present for her second birthday.
